Yoga Sutras II.46
स्थिरसुखम् आसनम् - Sthira-sukham asanam
Asanas should be steady and comfortable, joyful. It is important that the practitioner not be strained. He should be able to relax in the position - yet hold it perfectly for a given amount of time. Fidgeting and loss of concentration only waste energy. Just as in meditation, the mind and body must remain one-pointed.
